The Matrox MC-100 MINI CONVERTER Dual SDI to HDMI for 3G/3D/HD/SD is a video professional’s toolbox that can be used as a HD-SDI switcher, a distribution amplifier, a multiplexer, and a 3D processing unit to monitor, distribute, switch, multiplex, and process 3D content in real time. This portable device supports a wide range of display resolutions via 3G, Dual Link, HD, and SD-SDI.

Use this device to convert SDI video signals with 16 channels of embedded audio into HDMI signal and monitor the sources on any HDMI display. Regardless of whether you’re using RGB or YUV, the converter will ensure full 10-bit video spectrum for video signals up to a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It supports 8 channels of embedded audio on HDMI, and you can switch between the first and second set of 4 pairs. In addition, the converter supports multi-format SDI signal distribution.

An on-screen-display (OSD) menu lets you quickly and efficiently configure the converter, eliminating the need for a computer connection. You can program the dip switches with user-defined presets and quickly revert to recently used settings.

With the touch a button, the converter produces glitch-free switching between two SDI feeds. High-quality processing power allows you to perform multiple adjustments on stereoscopic video feeds in real time. In addition, the converter multiplexes two HD-SDI signals into a single 3G-SDI stream, reducing the need for wiring for the distribution of HD-SDI video signals.

3D content can be effortlessly processed with the converter’s video frame synchronizer. Real-time 3D processing adjustments such as Horizontal Image Translation (HIT), sub-pixel convergence, and divergence on both video inputs can be easily made using the hardware button.

The Mini Converter supports monitoring of 3D content on HDMI or SDI outputs using industry-standard 3D analysis modes such as anaglyph, difference, and 50/50. Transfer of HDMI in side-by-side, over/under, or frame packing (HDMI 1.4a) mode is also supported. In addition, when one video is defined as a genlock source, the unit-time base corrects the input and outputs video of the two video streams simultaneously. The converter automatically switches to a valid video signal, when one video signal is invalid or lost.
